    ABRF Members,

There's still time to apply for one of the ABRF Outstanding Scientist Scholarships and Founder's Award for the 2026 Annual Meeting.

Apply by February 15 to be considered for these unique opportunities to support participation at the 2026 Annual Meeting:

Outstanding Scientist Scholarships are available to ABRF members who have made significant contributions to their institutional shared resource facility or to the ABRF. The scholarship is to be used to offset the cost of attending the ABRF Annual Meeting and all ABRF members are eligible. Students, postdoctoral fellows, laboratory technicians, junior staff, and administrators directly associated with the mission of member laboratories are encouraged to apply.

The ABRF Outstanding Scientist Scholarship Award's benefits include:

    • One-year complimentary ABRF membership
    • One complimentary registration to attend the ABRF Annual Meeting
    • Support for travel expenses to attend the current ABRF Annual Meeting (up to $1,000)

We look forward to receiving your application.

Applications will also be accepted for the ABRF Founder's Award.

The Founder's Award is an endowed scholarship opportunity for the ABRF annual meeting. The scholarship is designed to support core staff who are in the early stages of their careers and have the potential for ABRF leadership. The Founder's Award was endowed by Ronald L. Niece, a founding member of the ABRF, to support junior core staff in advancing their careers by engaging and participating in the ABRF meeting.

The ABRF Founder's Award's benefits include:

    • One-year complimentary ABRF membership
    • Complimentary registration to attend the ABRF Annual Meeting
    • Additional $250 travel support above the outstanding scholarship award (total $1250)
    • Recognition during the ABRF Members' Meeting at the Annual Meeting
    • Complimentary registration of one ABRF educational workshop

No need to wait to register for the ABRF Annual Meeting. Successful applicants will have their registration and membership covered by the award and will be reimbursed if they already registered/renewed.  Successful applicants must be members of ABRF at the time of the ABRF Annual Meeting and are expected to attend the awards session to accept their prize.

Those who have received an Outstanding Scientist Scholarship (formerly the Travel Award) within the last three years are not eligible.

If an applicant has questions concerning filing an application, please contact the ABRF Scholarship Committee.

    Thank you.

    Ken
