We (Brandeis) have an Andor upright spinning disk microscope acquired in 2012.  Recently, it appears the 640 laser has gone down, but Andor cannot guarantee parts to fix it due to the instrument's age. We don't have another upright spinning disk and can't absorb the ~40hr/week usage into the other instruments, so ideally we would like to repair the system if possible.  So, I'm looking for everyone's experience.

1)  Have you been able to fix laser issues on a system this old from Andor?

2) Do you have recommendations on who might work on such an old system?
