The Mid-Atlantic Chapter, aka MAD SSCi, of ABRF is looking for a few good people to join their Organizing Committee (OC). If you have ever thought:
ü I would like to be more involved in ABRF
ü How does someone go about putting together a local meeting?
ü Why aren't there more topics I am interested in at a meeting?
ü I would like to go to a meeting, but I don't have the money in my budget
Joining the MAD SSCi OC may be the solution.
If you ever thought, I work in a core but am not a manager or director so I can't join something like this. Dismiss that thought!
The MAD SSCi OC is an equal opportunity committee who welcome all regardless of their job description.
As a member of the OC you will:
Ø Participate in planning a local/regional meeting.
Ø Get to choose topics for sessions and invite speakers.
Ø Have your registration for the meeting and travel expenses paid to attend the meeting.
Ø Get to meet a great group of people from diverse backgrounds who work in a core environment.
If you are worried about overcommitting yourself if you join, DON'T!!
We suggest attending a couple of meetings before making a commitment. We meet for 1 hour via zoom every two weeks until the month before the meeting then we meet every week.
If you would like to see what the MAD SSCi OC is all about, please send an email to the following address:
ABRF-madssciorganizingcommittee@ConnectedCommunity.org
Telling us a little about yourself and the core you work in, manage, or oversee. Someone from the OC will get back to you to let you know when the next Zoom meeting is and send you the link.
