Design the Future of ABRF – One Icon at a Time
The Association of Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF), in collaboration with ArtLab Studio LLC, is launching an Open Call for icons to visually identify and represent the work of our research groups and committees. These icons will be used across the ABRF website, conference signage, and presentation materials-giving each group a recognizable, quick-reference identity that helps both new and longtime members understand what we do. These icons should help "best" represent your discipline.
Why Icons?
Icons are a powerful communication tool. With just a glance, they provide visual cues that make complex work easier to digest and remember. Whether it's a stylized microscope for imaging or an abstract data stream for informatics, the goal is instant recognition and visual consistency.
Here are a few references to help think about designing icons:
We invite everyone to think about and submit icon concepts that reflect the spirit and focus of each ABRF group. These designs can be at any stage: from a scribble on a napkin to a finalized Adobe Illustrator design. We have a support team that will help you turn your icon into a final product.
