    I would propose having my team member give her presentation on how Rutgers uses iLab for Animal Care, but this would be repetitive for those who attended the iLab user group meeting this year.  If the group finds value in having her present, let me know.  I can also share her slide deck beforehand if needed.

    It was a good presentation that might be appreciated by a wider presentation. Tom McHugh’s presentation from the UG meeting might also be beneficial for those in the cancer center world.

    A Holistic Approach to Using iLab Features for Operational Success in Animal Facilities

    This presentation covers how Rutgers Animal Care uses various iLab features to support our operational needs. As the largest Rutgers group using iLab, we encompass multiple subunits within one core. We highlight several key workflows which include setting configurations to efficiently route requests from hundreds of researchers to multiple operational groups, synchronization with our Animal Management System, recurring charges, and customized forms that include NDA and Terms of Service acknowledgements for external customers.



    Bio-

    Gabriela Alulema is the Business Manager for University Wide Core Services at Rutgers
    University and has served as the institutional administrator for Rutgers iLab since 2021.
    Beginning in 2010 as a work-study student in the university's research animal facility,
    Gabriela advanced through several administrative support roles, gaining firsthand
    experience with facility operations. Drawing on this background, Gabriela now helps guide
    the strategic use of iLab to support efficient operations, communication, and request
    management across research support units
