    To:  ABRF Leaders

     

    As we prepare to launch the ABRF Compensation Survey, we'd like to ask for volunteers to be the first to complete the "live" survey, which will be sent by Vault Consulting.

     

    Importantly, we'd like to include two types of responses in this first group:

     

    1. Core facility-level responses
    2. Institution-wide responses (with option to submit data via file upload).  This can be completed by you or someone else at your institution who may have access to this information..

     

     

    For those who are willing to help, we'd like to ask you to respond here to confirm that we should include you in the first group.  Please let us know by the end of next week if your core/institution will join this group.  A preview version of the survey is available here.

    Hello Schopmann,

     

    The ABRF Career Development Committee would like to enlist your help with the new Core Facilities Personnel Compensation Survey. This valuable new resource will collect data on current compensation for key positions within Core facilities, including:

    ·     Bioinformaticians

    ·     Core Administrators

    ·     Core Directors/Assistant Directors

    ·     Core Managers

    ·     Staff Scientists

    ·     Core Facility Staff Professionals (Entry/Intermediate/Senior)

     

    ABRF aims to collect data at the Core and Institution-wide level. You will receive the survey link to (anonymously) contribute your information within the next two weeks. For those with larger numbers of Core staff, you'll be able to upload a worksheet with your responses. Depending on the size of your Core personnel staff, the survey may require 15-30 minutes or so to complete.

     

    A preview version of the survey is available here.

     

    This data will be requested from each Institution within ABRF (and others), focusing on Core Directors and Administrators who may have access to this information.

     

    The Committee needs your help to ensure that the survey is sent to the best contacts at the Cores within your Institution. If you do not have access to this type of information, please share the survey with the appropriate person for your Core facility. (A sample message is linked here to share with your colleagues to request their participation.).

     

    As an incentive, every Institution that participates will receive an advance edition of the Survey's Executive Summary. 

     

    All respondents will also be entered into a drawing to receive complimentary ABRF 2023 Annual Meeting registration.

     

    We hope we can count on your help to increase participation in the important new resource for ABRF members and institutions.
