    ABRF Core Administrators Network,

Marie Adams connected us with the Association of Independent Research Institute (AIRI) to see if there's an opportunity to work together.  They have developed several resources on the current federal funding challenges, and it appears that their concerns are aligned with ABRF's.

Do we think it's feasible to try to schedule an initial meeting with AIRI prior to the ABRF Annual meeting?   If so, I can circulate a scheduling poll to try to find a time that works.

    Thank you.

    Ken

    Hi Natalie and Sara,

By way of this email, I am introducing you to Ken Schoppmann, Executive Director of ABRF (https://abrf.org/). He is open to having a discussion with AIRI folks around Cores rates.

    Hi Ken,

Sara and Natalie are AIRI members (HHMI and Magee-Womens Research Institute) who are part of an operations interest group.  AIRI organizations come in several shapes and sizes, as you might imagine, and they are interested in best practice around rates.

I thought it would be helpful for you all to connect on this.

    Cheers,

    David

Would we want to see if they can join us for our meeting on Thursday?  Or do we need that time to figure out if we are doing the session Natalie proposed?
