Subject: Request for Participation and Support in Distributing iRISE Survey

    Dear EQIPD Stakeholders,

I hope this message finds you well.

We are making progress with the iRISE project and have launched an important survey aimed at gathering feedback on research climate and socio-cultural backgrounds. To our knowledge, this is the first survey of its kind, and we would greatly appreciate your participation.

We kindly ask that you forward the email below to your research network to help us reach a wider audience. Additionally, if possible, please provide a brief estimate of how many people you were able to reach. This will help us estimate the overall impact of our outreach efforts.

If you have any questions or need further information, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I think you in advance for your support!

    Best wishes,
         Björn

    Dear colleague,

We are seeking your help in completing the iRISE Survey on research climate, use of best practices and equity, diversity and inclusion. We hope you will participate and share it with your colleagues!

This survey is part of the EU-funded project iRISE - Improving Reproducibility in Science. By collecting survey responses from scientific researchers across the world, we aim to deepen our understanding of the research climates they work in, including aspects of researchers' socio-cultural backgrounds.

The survey will take only 8 to 12 minutes to complete. It is conducted anonymously and adheres to the European General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). It is voluntary and can be stopped at any point.

    What is this survey about?

We are collecting valuable insights into researchers' perception of the use of best practices and research climate in their research units. We will also explore whether a person's perception of research climate is influenced by their socio-cultural identity. By collecting this data, we aim to identify the benefits and challenges associated with implementing best practices the broader research landscape. This knowledge will guide us in refining and adapting interventions to improve reproducibility to better suit the needs of diverse research settings.

    Which interventions?

In parallel to this survey, we will assess the EQIPD Quality System as an intervention to improve reproducibility. This Quality System was developed in a previous EU-funded project. As part of iRISE, we offer free support to research researchers eager to implement this systematic approach, unlocking new potential for innovation and excellence. Let us know if you are interested!

    Questions?

If you have any questions regarding the survey, EQIPD or iRISE, feel free to contact the study coordinators: Björn GerlachStephanie ZellersAndreas Scherer or Kim Wever.

Thank you very much for your cooperation!

Kind regards on behalf of iRISE WP5 team
