Message from the SEASR President, Dr. Pritha Bagchi

Our preparation for the 10th annual SEASR meeting is in full swing. Dr. Anna-Lisa Paul will kick-off the conference on June 21 (Wed) evening as our plenary speaker followed by an opening reception (RSVP required). Please check the conference program link below for other sessions. Our full-day program on June 22 (Thurs) will be followed by the poster session and a Wine and Hors D'oeuvres reception. The highlight of June 23 (Fri) is our popular speed mentoring session. Please register (free) for the conference and reserve your hotel room following the links below. We have secured a discounted rate for your hotel rooms but it's on a first come, first served basis.

Poster and Travel Awards

Applicants can win both poster & travel awards. (See the link below for details)

1. Travel award - Awardees will be chosen from the poster abstracts (up to two awards). There is no cash value for this award. Awardee will receive reimbursements (max $600) for their eligible travel expenses for 2023 or 2024 SEASR meeting.

2. Best poster award - Awardees will be chosen from the poster presentation on June 22, 2023 (up to two awards). The awardee will receive a gift card ($100).

Abstract submission deadline: April 14^th, 2023.

Announcement of the travel award: May 1^st, 2023.

Everyone interested in the SEASR's mission, including shared resource facility users, is encouraged to submit an abstract to compete for the travel and poster awards. Please reach out to your core users and encourage them to participate!

Call for New Executive Board Members (2023 - 2027)

The SEASR Executive Board (EB) is searching for three highly-motivated core directors, administrators, managers, or staff to serve on the EB for a term of four years (June 2023 - June 2027)

Speed Mentoring is Coming Back in 2023!

Speed mentoring is a one-on-one networking event. Mentees can ask any career-related questions to a specific mentor for 5 minutes before switching to another. Stay tuned for more information!
