Applications are sought for a full-time Adjunct Professor Series (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor) position. The successful candidate will lead a research team in the UCLA Department of Biological Chemistry focused on the characterization of lipids from biological samples using mass spectrometry. They will pursue projects in this focus area as well as oversee the activities UCLA Lipidomics Core Facility which provides lipid characterization services to the broader scientific community. The applicant will also be expected to contribute to the teaching mission of the department.
A successful candidate(s) will have the following qualifications:
- PhD in a Biological or Computational Discipline
- Ability to work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment
- Desire to conduct cutting-edge research in lipidomics
- Motivation to become proficient in computational and experimental approaches (if not already competent in these areas)
