  • 1.  New Research Group about IHC/mIF and antibody validation

    Dear all,
    I and a small group of pathologists and IHC-lovers are initiating a research group studying IHC/mIF and antibody validation. The main aims for this RG are to improve the validation, reproducibility and QC of antibodies in IHC in the environment of a core lab, create an online reference annotated image database of IHC/mIF, maintain a database annotating the performance of different kits and some troubleshooting approaches. We are searching other people with background in pathology and/or IHC to join our group, if anyone is interested can write me at my email fas4014@med.cornell.edu.
    I will be present at the ABRF Annual Meeting in Minneapolis from Sunday April 21st to Monday 22nd, we are organizing a meet-up for discussing this group during that 2 days if someone wants to join I will keep you posted!

    This is a fantastic idea. I am a veterinary pathologist and director of a core research histopathology lab at the University of Michigan. I would be happy to participate. We work predominantly with animal tissues but also some de-identified human tissues. We do a lot of assay optimization and validation for IHC on animal tissues and we have a large archive of mouse and other animal tissues that could potentially be useful for developing an annotated database from the animal model side.
