Posting on behalf of the Mass Spec Facility of the Fralin Life Sciences Institute (FLSI) at Virginia Tech's Blacksburg Campus: currently seeking a part-time Laboratory Technician with Mass Spectrometry experience to support day-to-day operations and contribute to service delivery across a range of mass spectrometry and omics-based workflows, including proteomics, metabolomics, and lipidomics.
This role includes both routine and advanced sample preparation, monitoring instrumentation runs, and working independently as well as collaboratively to ensure efficient, high-quality, and reliable facility operations. The position will also contribute to the development and implementation of new methods, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and instrumentation workflows aimed at expanding and enhancing the facility's capabilities.
