Over the past few years, we have witnessed significant reductions in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) efforts within both private and public sectors. This panel aims to discuss the imperative of continuing this vital work, despite this concerning trend, by sharing personal experiences and perspectives from staff across various core facilities. By telling our stories, we hope to answer the question "Why does this work matter?" by discussing the real people behind the statistics.
