  • 1.  Suggestion on refurbished or cheaper qPCR taking 10ul

    Hello everyone, 
    My lab has recently acquired a CytAssist for Visium assays, and we do not have a qPCR. We do have a ddPCR QX200. I am reaching out to know if any of you are aware of options for a cheaper model of qPCR machines (also refurbished), any ways to utilize ddPCR, or any other ways to determine the cycle number for library prep for the Visium assays.

    Any input will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Mrinmoyee,

    My lab purchased a Q qPCR machine from Quantabio about 8 months ago and it has worked great for our minimal qPCR needs: https://www.quantabio.com/product/products-pcr-instrumentation-q/

    We requested a demo prior to purchase so we confirmed that it would work for us.  We use the Q to validate user-prepared libraries and determine the appropriate number of amplification cycles to perform when preparing a couple of library types.
