    ABRF Members,

We're pleased to share these two new ways to engage with the next generation of scientists through FASEB:

FASEB seeks your help recruiting mentors for two new cohort-based programs:

    FASEB Fellows for the Future

One FASEBFellow for the Future from ABRF has been selected to participate in a 12-month cohort-based project funded by the National Science Foundation to become agents to make scientific societies more inclusive.

ABRF's most engaged members are needed to serve as mentors for FASEB Fellows for the Future to champion fellows' participation in society leadership and volunteer activities.

    MOSAIC

The FASEB MOSAIC program, funded by the National Institute of General Medical Sciences' Maximizing Opportunities for Scientific and Academic Independent Careers (MOSAIC) Institutionally Focused Research Education Award (UE5GM155929), is designed to support a cohort of early-career, independent investigators from diverse backgrounds as they transition into research-intensive faculty careers. FASEB MOSAIC utilizes a multiple mentor model to facilitate Scholars' development of a strong identity within the research community. MOSAIC mentors will supplement scientific mentoring provided by the K99 mentor.

We request your availability to meetto discuss strategies to most effectively recruit these mentors. At your earliest convenience, please complete the following doodle poll to indicate your availability: November 20, 2024.

    Sincerely,

    Yvette Seger, PhD

Chief Science Policy and Workforce Development Officer, FASEB
