    Hi, Sara and ABRF biobankers!

I work for the Medical College of Wisconsin Tissue Bank in Milwaukee, WI and I have a question for the community. Does anyone have a core with organoid capacity? We're incorporating a sub-core into our biobank that specializes in organoid culture and I would appreciate any insight into organoids within a core or biorepository that someone might have with their biobank.

    Thank you!

    Ellen

    Hi Ellen,
We send out tissue to make organoids, but they are stored at the University of Georgia in the School of Veterinary Medicine.  If you'd like I can connect you with my contact there!

    Hi Sara!

That would be very helpful. Could you please email me the contact information or send an email introduction?

    Thank you so much!

Also, are any biobankers planning to attend the annual conference in Pittsburgh? It would be lovely to connect in person and talk biobanking face to face.

    Thanks!

I will definitely be at the meeting in Pittsburgh.  In fact, I am still looking for a speaker about organoids.  I have representation from an organoid core facility, but I'd like to have someone more technical highlighting their research with organoids.  Is there someone at your facility that might be interested?  Bonus if it's a grad student or post-doc.
Can you please send me your email, and I will set up an intro with my collaborators at UGA?

Oh terrific! I'm presenting a Lightning Talk and since this is my first ABRF conference, I'm looking forward to connecting with other core researchers, especcially any biobankers. My email is eschneider@mcw.edu and I look forward to hearing from you and your collaborators. I will forward your message to my colleagues to see if the organoid research scientist might be interested. What would the time committment be?
