Dear all,
Sorry for posting this too late but on Thursday there will be an important webinar regarding the YCharOS antibody validation effort, hope everyone of you can participate!
Title: YCharOS Antibody Characterization Data in F1000Research
Date: Thursday, May 29, 2025
Time: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM EDT
Speakers:
Carl Laflamme (YChraOS team leader),
Riham Ayoubi (YChraOS team, Director of Operations),
Deborah Moshinsky (Director of Antibody Characterization and Validation at the Institute for Protein Innovation)
Dalia Williams (Associate Publisher for F1000Research)
The use of non-specific antibodies has long been a challenge in biomedical research, contributing to issues with reproducibility. However, the good news is that most human proteins are already covered by selective and renewable antibodies! In partnership with leading manufacturers, YCharOS is driving progress by systematically characterizing commercial antibodies using knockout cell lines and making this data openly available, guiding researchers to having reliable tools for their work.
In collaboration with F1000Research, this webinar will explore how the YCharOS Gateway provides a structured and transparent platform for disseminating antibody characterization data. We will also discuss the advantages of publishing on F1000Research compared to standard repositories, walk through the YCharOS Data Note format and antibody characterization data, and highlight the review process. Additionally, we seek to expand our pool of reviewers to ensure the continued publication of YCharOS data.
Join us to learn how you can contribute to improving antibody reliability and fostering open science!
