Hi all,
My office provides operational support, trainings, etc. for cores at UNC Chapel Hill. We are planning a workshop and peer mentoring program focused on grantsmanship pairing those who have successfully gone through the process for various instrumentation grants with other core directors (or faculty members who would like to put equipment in a core facility) who are currently or intending to write grants.
My question is two-fold:
1) Does your institution have a similar program? I would love to model ours after an already-successful program if there are some out there.
2) We are hosting a panel workshop in addition to the mentorship program. Has anyone here served on the study section for S10 grants? We would potentially be interested in bringing such a person on to talk about feedback and Dos/Don'ts from that perspective.
