Hello ABRF Members,
The process for securing nominations for our next Executive Board (EB) members starts with you! There's still time to submit your suggestions for the next group of ABRF leaders....
Please forward the names of any individuals you believe to be qualified to serve on the Board, along with a brief recommendation. You are encouraged to nominate any of your fellow ABRF associates, as well as yourself. The Nominations Committee will then verify whether the candidate is eligible to serve on the Executive Board. Typically, this will require active ABRF membership for the past 3 years when joining the Executive Board in April 2024. Four final nominees will be selected by the Executive Board to stand for election by the membership.
Executive Board members serve for three years (renewable for one additional, three-year term). Board leadership provides a worthwhile experience for individuals and offers ABRF essential leadership and direction.
Candidates with prior experience on ABRF Research Groups or Committees and an interest in broadening their exposure to and shaping the future of biomolecular science would be most eligible to serve on the Executive Board. We also consider it important to have a Board that represents the great diversity of the ABRF, in all demographic dimensions and with regard to the great variety of technologies and core administrative matters.
All recommendations will be kept confidential.
