| Hello ABRF! The ABRF community has shaped my career and continues to inspire me every day. I am honored to step into the role of ABRF President and give back to this incredible organization. ABRF has been an invaluable resource in my professional journey-from my first annual meeting as a research technician in a shared research resource to now attending as a director of multiple shared research resources. I've learned a lot from this community and hope that others can discover its value as well. Why Get Involved? Building a network of professional colleagues outside your own institution may seem challenging, but it offers tremendous benefits to you and your shared research resource. And there are so many ways to engage with ABRF! Here are just a few opportunities to contribute and connect: · Regional chapter meetings are in the works and need speakers. · We're always looking for ideas and hosts for online sessions. · Research groups and committees welcome new members regularly. · The next annual meeting will need session organizers and speakers, too. Even in your own institution or within other professional associations, you can make an impact by sharing the highlights and insights from the recent ABRF meeting. From the performance of shared resources to discoveries in spatial genomics, imaging cytometry, AI and imaging, inclusive scientific workplaces, the ongoing war for core talent, and even signs of life on Mars, there's something for everyone to learn and share. A Vision for the Future ABRF is a home for all shared research resources and personnel-a place where expertise, collaboration, professional growth, and standards of excellence intersect. This year, we're launching our new strategic plan to preserve and enhance the long-term success of our association and its members. Together, we'll work towards ambitious goals to keep this community thriving. As we settle back into our routines after the meeting, let's keep the momentum going. Stay connected with your new contacts, explore ways to get involved, and strengthen our ABRF community all year long. Let's make it happen-together! Kym Delventhal President |
