  • 1.  Agilent QQQ error message

    Hi all,
    We have an intermittent error that shows up on our Agilent QQQ, it says MSQQQ 1: QQQ fault detected:  5.21 Ion Funnel RF High Pressure.  It seems to show up on occasion, shuts down whatever run is going, and then disappears if you just let the instrument sit for a while unattended, to contemplate its navel.  It's cropped up a bit more persistently on one of our instruments, and I wondered if anyone had seen it and traced it to an actual cause.  Agilent doesn't seem to know the reason or the solution.

    Has Agilent commented at all on the possibility that this is a problem with the gas regulator injecting your CID gas?
    Does this happen if you run a sample without fragmentation at all, just a full scan?
