I would like to gather a bit of information on institutions who have used external companies to biobank specimen. Are there any institutions which use one company to ship to and store specimen rather than storing specimen on site in multiple -80C freezers?
If so, we would like to know how the structure of the pricing was set up with the company (perhaps to obtain some contact information for the folks who helped to set up the structure).
Also, if investigators had to switch from using their own personal -80C freezers to storage at the company, were there any incentives offered to the investigators to switch?
