Subject: Joint Associations Group (JAG) Release of the Recommendations of the JAG Subject Matter Experts Group: Upcoming Informational Webinar and Town Hall
On April 8, the Joint Associations Group (JAG) on Indirect Costs was announced as a community-based approach to develop new models for funding of indirect costs on federal research grants as potential replacements for the current F&A reimbursement model. On June 12 and 17, COGR will host webinars on the group's behalf. The June 12 webinar will present the recommendations from the subject matter expert team and highlight mechanisms for additional stakeholder input and questions. This will be followed by a town hall on June 17, which will recap the recommendations, address questions received during the previous webinar, and provide an extended Q&A opportunity.
Both webinars will be recorded and made available by the JAG organizations listed at the end of this communication. Asynchronous feedback will be accepted throughout the process via the Indirect Costs Inquiry Form and other association engagement activities.
Registration is required for each webinar:
In advance of these town halls, we encourage you to review the following materials:
Logistics: You will receive a Zoom link within one day of each session, and again one hour prior to the session. Please ensure you check your spam/junk mail, as the links come directly from Zoom. Links are unique and should not be shared.
Please note: This is an open session intended for researchers, institution leaders, administrators, government relations representatives, and those who work directly on F&A issues and federal grants management. All questions will be handled anonymously, and registrant information will not be shared outside of the participating national organizations.
Capacity is limited. These Town Hall webinars will be recorded and slides will be shared on COGR's website.
