    ABRF Members,

     

    Sharing the microgrant opportunity below ....

     

     

     

    We're reaching out to ask for your help in sharing exciting opportunities with graduate students, postdocs, and professional students in STEMM fields who are passionate about community engagement, public policy, and impactful science communication. 

      

    Research!America, with support from the Rita Allen Foundation and the Lasker Foundation, is offering funding of up to $4,000 for public engagement projects through our 2025-2026 Civic Engagement Microgrant Program. This initiative provides funding for innovative outreach activities such as: 

    • New science policy groups 
    • Local STEMM-related events 
    • Nonpartisan dialogues with local officials 
    • Digital media projects, and more! 

    We are also offering Public Engagement Content Awards - providing up to $5,000 stipends to Ph.D. candidates, post-docs, and professional degree candidates as well as junior faculty in STEMM and adjacent fields to develop curricula to help scientists build skills in the realm of civic science.   

      

    Please help us reach eligible applicants by sharing these opportunities with your networks. The application deadline for both programs is Nov. 21. For questions, reach out to microgrants@researchamerica.org.
