Subject: Snappy Talk title for marketing/core advertisement at local university?
This is the kind of thing I actually use AI tools for. I put your question into ChatGPT with your core's name and these were the suggestions, which I actually like. I agree with @Joe Dragavon that if you can get across how you facilitate a PI's research it can land with more relevance and curiosity.
ChatGPT's answer:
t sounds like you're aiming for a title that grabs attention while conveying the value of your core's services in a concise and engaging way. The challenge with these types of talks is to make them sound relevant and helpful, while also avoiding jargon or too generic phrasing.
Here are a few options that might spark some inspiration:
1. "Unlocking New Possibilities in Preclinical Imaging: Tools and Support for Your Research"
2. "Supercharge Your Research: Preclinical Imaging Services for Cutting-Edge Discovery"
3. "Elevate Your Research with Advanced Preclinical Imaging and Expert Support"
4. "Bridging Innovation and Research: Comprehensive Support from the [Core Name]"
5. "Accelerating Research with [Core Name]'s Preclinical Imaging Solutions"
For descriptions, you'll want to expand on the title in a way that highlights both the tools and the specific benefits to researchers. Keep it to the point but show why they should attend.
For example:
Description Option 1: "Join us for an overview of the [Core Name]'s comprehensive preclinical imaging services. Learn how our state-of-the-art technologies and expert support can help you validate your methods, streamline your workflow, and take your research to the next level."
Description Option 2: "Are you looking for innovative ways to enhance your research? This talk will cover the powerful preclinical imaging solutions available through the [Core Name] and how our team can help accelerate your research projects, from project design through data analysis."
The key is to convey how your services fit into the researchers' needs-whether that's improving data quality, accelerating time to results, or enhancing the reproducibility and validity of their experiments.

Subject: Snappy Talk title for marketing/core advertisement at local university?
Hi all, I am giving a talk to a local group at a university soon. This would effectively be a chance for me to market some of our core's services, and this is a great target audience because our modalities are quite complementary to what others are already trying to validate with their custom home-built methods.
I am just curious if folks have had success with short talk titles and descriptions of the talks, so that researchers will show up and be interested to hear in how your services will advance their research and give them that competitive edge.
I was thinking something like:
Title: "Applications and Research Support Services in the [Insitution] [Core Facility Name]"
but I do not love how clunky that is...
There could also be "[Core Name] Overview" but that is not particularly alluring...
Thanks for any thoughts on this!
