
Mentoring Opportunities for ABRF Members – on your schedule!
Why Participate?
As a unique blend of scientific research support and small businesses, core facility operations face unique challenges. Regardless of your role, timely advice and valuable insights are critical! ABRF offers two mentoring options to meet your needs. Both options recognize that every member has valuable experience to share. You may be a mentee in one context and a mentor in another, fostering mutual growth. Participate as a mentor, mentee, or both!
1. Group Mentoring
- Collaborative Learning: Engage in virtual small-group discussions to share insight, tackle common challenges, and explore new ideas with peers.
- Monthly Sessions: Join us every third Tuesday of the month from 2-3pm ET. Register here.
2. One-to-one Mentor-Mentee Pairing
- Personalized Guidance: Get paired with an experienced mentor who can provide targeted advice and help you build your professional network.
- Structured Relationship: This option is best for defined goals or discussion areas where the mentee needs measurable progress over a fixed period.
- Everyone is welcome: We have space for both mentors and mentees in this program! Regardless of your role, experience, or expertise, this program is open to everyone!

- Interview and Matching: Mentees will have a short interview with a program facilitator. Mentors will be selected based on this conversation.
- First Meeting: The program facilitator will schedule and introduce the first meeting, ensuring a smooth start.
- Re-Matching Option: If the initial match doesn't work, request to be re-matched.
