A UNC core facility, the Chapel Hill Analytical and Nanofabrication Laboratory's Soft-Matter Characterization Lab, is co-hosting a FREE and VIRTUAL symposium really targeted towards other core facilities/shared resources who perform characterization and fabrication of "soft matter" (click link for definition). Building upon the success of the Research Triangle Nanotechnology Network, planning has begun between UNC-CH, NCSU, Duke, and the University of Kansas to create a community formed around soft-matter infrastructure across our region and beyond. On June 10^th, we will be hosting a virtual kick-off from 12pm – 2:10pm Eastern Standard Time and we'd be delighted if you and interested members in your group can join us. Please distribute the attached flier to your networks who want to:

• Become part of a community of users and researchers who leverage soft-matter shared research infrastructure
• Identify soft-matter fabrication and characterization capabilities across the US that should be developed locally
• Provide input on services and support that will be most helpful to their research in soft matter
• Discuss emerging technologies and vision for supporting the future of soft-matter research
