Hello.
I need to analyse a set of 126 urine samples for a metabolomics study. I would like to normalize the urine samples prior to analysis. I was thinking of doing this by diluting all samples with water to the lowest specific gravity measured among the 126 samples by a digital refractometer. However, since there are so many samples and only one refractometer, this cannot be completed in one day. If I wish to continue with this strategy it means the samples will go through a freeze-thaw cycle prior to analysis. So I'm thinking of diluting all samples to a set specific gravity value rather than the lowest measured one. In your experience what should this value be? Or can you think of a better way of doing this?
Thank you in advance.
